The Assisted Living Program (ALP) serves residents who are medically eligible for nursing home placement but provides the services in their own home. ALP provides personal care, light housekeeping, supervision, home health aides, and the case managed services and care of a professional nurse. The program also connects seniors with services such as personal emergency response services, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, medical supplies, adult day health care and equipment.
Currently, the St. Francis ALP is operating in both the Trent Center East and Trent Center West buildings located on Greenwood Avenue in Trenton as well as Luther Arms, located on South Broad Street in Trenton. The program currently serves approximately 40 residents but is growing rapidly. “There was a huge need,” said Director of the program Tom Kelly. Kelly comes from a very strong background managing several for profit assisted living programs in New Jersey.
The benefits of this program are evident, providing the extra care and oversight that allows the resident to remain living safely in the community. For more information about the ALP program please call 609-599-5161.
