LIFE St. Francis Partners with Senior Citizens United Community Services to Support Older Adults Living Safely in the Community

Program seeking qualified caregivers to care for seniors in their homes
LIFE St. Francis, which serves frail seniors and enables them to receive comprehensive health care while remaining in the comfort of their home and community, is partnering with Senior Citizens United Community Services (SCUCS) and its Adult Family Caregiver Program. The Adult Family Care program helps seniors in need of intensive supervision with residential housing and caregiving in order to avoid the institutionalization.

LIFE St. Francis and the SCUCS are partnering to identify qualified caregivers in the community willing to take LIFE St. Francis participants into their homes and care for them with the support and services of LIFE St. Francis. Caregivers receive a monthly stipend, and room and board payment, for each senior they bring into their home. Caregivers must be certified as an RN, LPN, Nursing Assistant, Certified Home Health Aide or be willing to complete an Adult Family Caregiver certified training program.

LIFE St. Francis and SCUCS are holding an information session on Thursday, April 20 at 5 p.m. at LIFE St. Francis, located at 7500 Kevin Johnson Boulevard in Bordentown, NJ. The session will cover the qualifications of being an Adult Family Caregiver, training and responsibilities, and how LIFE St. Francis and SCUCS collaborate to ensure seniors needs are being met.

If you are interested in attending this session and want to learn more about how to become an Adult Family Caregiver, please register by calling 856-456-1121, extension 126.
