School of Rad Tech Boasts New Graduates

This summer, eight new graduates from the St. Francis School of Radiologic Technology celebrated their recent educational and clinical success.
 The graduates were: Ashley Anderson (Bristol, PA), Danielle Freda (Bordentown, NJ), Linda Marsala (Bordentown, NJ), Samantha Masterpole (Hamilton, NJ), Jenna Muehleisen (Yardville, NJ), Amelia Murphy (Cinnaminson, NJ), Peter Skaggs (Marlton, NJ) and Marialys Walker (Willingboro, NJ).   
The School of Radiologic Technology is an accredited, full-time hospital based radiography program at St. Francis Medical Center, which only accepts eight students per year. Upon successful completion of the 24-month program, the student is eligible to take the ARRT Registry Examination, which certifies him/her as a Registered Technologist and is eligible for the State of New Jersey license.
Graduates can be found in many specialized areas of the profession including Cat Scan (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Nuclear Medicine, Sonography, Radiation Therapy, Cardiovascular Interventional Technology, Education, Management, Radiation Physics, and Sales.
 “All eight graduates have successfully passed the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification examination and are now Registered Radiologic Technologists.” stated Theresa Levitsky, Program Director of the School of Radiologic Technology. She continued, “We are especially proud of our tradition of graduating competent and compassionate Radiographers who provide exceptional service to our community.”

St. Francis Medical Center, a member of Catholic Health East, is an acute care teaching hospital recently ranked by Consumer Reports in the top five hospitals in NJ for safety and number one in Mercer County. Most noted for its Cardiac Surgery program and the first accredited Stroke Center in the county, St. Francis features regional services including the Heart Hospital, a Regional Cancer Center, LIFE St. Francis (Living Independently For Elders), LifeCare Physicians, PC, which includes Primary Care and Surgery throughout the region, a Sleep Disorder Center and an extensive Community Outreach Program.
