St. Francis Hosts Breakfast with Santa for the Community

The cafeteria at St. Francis Medical Center was transformed into Santa's Workshop on Saturday, December 5th as children from the community enjoyed a host of activities. Hosted by the St. Francis Medical Center Foundation Community Fundraising Council, over 200 children and their families joined in the Christmas festivities.

The children enjoyed arts and crafts, and face painting after a continental breakfast.  Magician, Mr. Kazoo, entertained the kids with magic tricks and balloon creatures.  Making reindeer food was a big hit.  But the main event was visiting with Santa Claus!  Children got their picture taken with Santa and left with wonderful goodie bags.  Santa, portrayed by Brian Bennett, Vice President/GM Haldeman Lexus and Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees represented the North Pole in true fashion.

There were many community sponsors and hospital colleagues that made the event possible for everyone in the community.  The St. Francis Medical Center Foundation Community Fundraising Council plans a variety of events for the community throughout the year.  This year they will host a new event, "Casino Royale" on Saturday, February 27th.  This was the third year for Breakfast with Santa.  Norma Monaghan, President & CEO of the Foundation commented “The Council is happy to do something for the children in the city of Trenton and we are so pleased to have had such a wonderful turn out.”
